The Manhattan Cocktail Classic Gala

The headliner drinking event of spring? The Manhattan Cocktail Classic. This event is a five day festival of 75 unique events held at numerous bars and venues in all five boroughs. Topics range from workshops and lectures on cocktails and their ingredients, to spectacular theme parties. I had the opportunity to cover six of the events over the course of the weekend, starting with the Gala at the New York Public Library.

This night of delights spanned all four floors of the famous library, and featured thousands of artisan cocktails from the world's leading bartenders and spirits. Craft food vendors provided light treats, circus performers turned cartwheels from the ceiling and guests came from all corners of the globe to mingle in tailored costumes and sample the finest drinks the City had to offer.
