Spring in Seattle
I traveled up to Seattle for a few days last week and had a fun time exploring the city and catching up with old friends. The spring flowers on the trees and throughout Pike Place Market were so beautiful, I wish I could have taken a bouquet of tulips home on the plane with me! Things to do in Seattle:
Great Bars
- Unicorn: fun carnival-themed place with great snacks and drinks
- Canon: amazing, inventive cocktails
- Rhein Haus: huge German-style beer garden
- The Pink Door: Speakeasy-style spot with burlesque shows
- Rob Roy: great cocktail program
- Fremont Brewing Co: great outdoor beer garden
- Schilling Cider House: nice spot to taste unusual ciders

- Any one of Tom Douglas's restaurants, seriously.
- Barolo: food-coma-worthy Italian with a fantastic Happy Hour deal (50% off bar menu entrees and $4-5 drinks!)
